ABERGELE Harriers’ Warren Brown and Sarah Brooks were two of more than 1,200 runners who took on the challenge of the Chester Metric Marathon yesterday (October 8).
Warren was pleased with his time after coming back from a lay-off through illness - running 2:08:12, he was 97th and sixth in his age category.
Sarah completed the race in a similar position in the ladies race; in 95th for 348th overall.

Meanwhile, three Harriers made the trip to Bangor last weekend: Danny Williams and Rachel Shipley ran the 10k, whilst Anthony Howe ran the accompanying half-marathon.
Danny just managed to break the 40-minute barrier; 39:55 for sixth position.
Rachel followed him home in 40:15 for seventh position and first lady, while Anthony was 251st in the half-marathon in 2:42:02.
Elsewhere for the Harriers last weekend, Danny Snelson finished 14th in the Rotherham parkrun in 21.57.
