A charity co-founded by Prince Harry is suing the British royal for defamation at the High Court in London, a court record shows.
Sentebale was founded by Harry in 2006 to help young people with HIV and AIDS in Lesotho and Botswana.
However, he resigned as a patron in March 2025 after a public falling-out with the chair of the board, Sophie Chandauka.
According to a record made public on Friday (April 10), Sentebale lodged a defamation claim last month at the High Court.
Sky News reports this was made against Harry and Mark Dyer, who was also a trustee of the charity.
There were no details as to what the lawsuit involved.
ITV News shared that online papers lodged at the High Court show the case listed as “Stenebale v Duke of Sussex and another”.
It lists the case as being filed on March 24, 2026, under a case type described as "Media and Communication - Part 7 Claim - Defamation Libel and Slander”.
The Claimant is listed as “Sentebale”, and the two defendants' names are “Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry” and “Dyer, Mark”.

Harry co-founded the charity in 2006, alongside Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, which was aimed at enhancing the lives of vulnerable children in the southern African country.

The pair both stepped down last year in a dispute with chairperson Dr Chandauka, in which the trustees were said to have lost "trust and confidence" in her.
The fallout escalated after Dr Chandauka used an interview with Sky News' Sunday Morning with Trevor Phillips days later to accuse Harry of "harassment and bullying at scale".
She also claimed Harry wanted to use the charity as a “PR machine” for his wife, Meghan.
