JULES Peters has admitted the last two weeks have been "the two worst weeks of her life".

This follows her husband's new cancer diagnosis; Mike Peters, frontman of The Alarm, recently revealed that his 29-year-old Leukaemia (CLL) has undergone an "overnight transformation" into a rare and aggressive form of Lymphoma known as Richter’s Syndrome.

As a result, Mike has sadly had to pull out of his USA tour.

In a statement, Jules, of Dyserth, said: "So it’s only been one week since we received the news about MP and our lives came crashing down.

"We were packed for New Orleans and Dylan’s 20th birthday leaving Evan behind to conduct his A Levels…

"It’s been a week since we closed our suitcases for the USA and faced up to the news of MP discovering a lump, between playing at the Red and visiting Wembley.

"I can openly announce that it’s been the two worst weeks of my life."

Jules thanked everyone for their messages of support and gifts and said what a hero her husband is.

"Thanks to everyone for all your messages, chocolate, flowers, messages, fruit bowls cards. They have all helped enormously to heal my achy breaky heart," Jules said.

"I’ve really struggled to match MP’s positivity. Oh my... what a hero he is. So strong and focused. No drama."

Jules said that Mike has attended an appointment at Glan Clwyd Hospital.

"It was very healing for me," she added.

"Mainly because they gave me a bit of hope and that’s all I needed, to cling on to.

"Thanks to Dr Heartin and his incredible team at the North Wales Cancer Centre, Without his fast-moving direction…

"We are now moving on to The Christie in Manchester and from next Wednesday, all being well, we begin chemotherapy and move on to a stem cell transplant.

"This is not for the faint hearted and with all the positivity engulfing us, we have hope, which is all we need. Just waiting to confirm our donor."

Jules added that the family were "so lucky" to have the love of the community.

"We never take it for granted," she said.

"Thanks for all your kindness. We are ready for our next chapter."
