A PERFORMING arts group based in Rhyl has received a £1,000 cheque following an event in January.

Work in Progress was part of the integrated entertainment at the “Beat The Blues Brunch” event in Hawarden.

Yesterday (January 31), Rory Tompsett, Chairman of Alyn & Deeside XRT 41 Club, presented the cheque to the group, the funds from which were raised from the event.
