A COUPLE in Rhyl have gone all-out on the Christmas decorations this year, in a tribute to family members.
Dominic Jan and Tania Perry have decked out their Rhyl home with lights and decorations, including penguins, reindeer, snowmen and a shooting star.
The decorations are also a homage to Dominic’s late mother Doreen and her partner Vernon, who were fond of decorating their Rhuddlan Road home and garden at Christmas time.
“My mum loved Christmas, always had, so they started decorating in the inside of the house,” Dominic told the Journal.
“It just escalated from that with a load of Disney characters being made and placed at the front of the house.

“I lost my mum when I was around 18, but Tania and myself both love Christmas and we both said the love and the frill you get has kind of gone.”
After speaking to a friend, and being handed a photograph of his mother’s decorated house, the couple decided to create a Winter Wonderland of their own.
Dominic said: “Tania and myself decided to collect some outdoor decorations, then of course Covid came along so that stopped our plans that year.
“But this year, with the help of my sons, we went for it and seeing all the lovely comments and the smiles on children's faces makes it all worthwhile - hopefully it brings back a bit of the Christmas sparkle.”
