A NEW shop is to open at the White Rose Centre in Rhyl, which will try to help its customers save “pounds instead of pennies”.
“TED'S” will be based at unit 11 of the shopping centre, formerly occupied by Topshop, and will open for the first time on Friday (November 3).
It will then be open seven days a week, selling essentials at low and affordable prices.

Keith Preston, who will be working at the store, said: “Everything that we are about is saving pounds instead of pennies in our shop.
“We’ll be selling things like tinned food, toiletries, washing up liquid and washing powder, sweets, crisps… all of your household stuff, basically, and food on top. Everything you need to survive.
“If you were going in for, say, a meal for three of four people, you could get a big bag of pasta, for example, for about £1.50.”
TED'S already has stores in Skelmersdale and Alfreton, and is also planning to open another shop in Burton-on-Trent.
At the Rhyl shop, customers will be entitled to 10 per cent off their shopping every time they spend £10 or more.
Keith added: “We want to give back to the community, as everyone struggles when buying essentials, especially at this time of year.
“We want to bring back the happiness of the public, for them to be able to save on big brands, and still have money for something else.”
