THE mother of a 24-year-old man in Rhyl who died last month has celebrated the life of her “everything”.

Ryan Williams died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, September 13, having suffered from numerous health conditions for several years.

He had not long been diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, a condition which causes the heart to beat abnormally fast for periods of time.

Born in Llanrwst before moving to Rhyl with his family in the mid-2010s, Ryan is survived by his parents and grandparents, as well as his two brothers.

His mother, Zoe, who was also Ryan’s full-time carer, paid tribute to a man who “had a smile that would light up the darkest room”.

She said: “He was my everything. We couldn’t have got any closer if we tried. He wasn’t just my son; he was my best friend, as well.

“He was the most loving, compassionate person, who would do anything for anyone. He was the best big brother to Kian and Lewis; they couldn’t have wished for anybody better.

“He was a lot of things to everyone, but he was my everything.

“He loved his motorbikes, they were his best friend. He loved being out on the bikes with his friends, up until the last few years, when he wasn’t really well enough to leave the house.

“He had a smile that would light up the darkest room, and he could make a horrible situation just go away. He was just that type of person, who brought out the best in everybody around him.”

Ryan was a pupil at Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy in Llanrwst, but was too unwell to work after leaving school, after initially starting a plastering course at college.

To assist with funeral costs and living expenses, Kim Hughes, a family friend, has set up an online donations page on the website “GoFundMe”.

It has so far raised £500, with a target set of £2,000.

You can donate by visiting: www.gofundme.com/f/37ss7q-ryans-funeral-costs.

On the page, Kim wrote: “Ryan had no quality of life, stuck in his bedroom. We are all devastated by Ryan’s loss, and were not prepared for the high cost of the funeral.

“We want to give Ryan the send-off he deserves to honour his memory and say our last goodbyes.”
