A RHYL salon has been nominated for a category at this year’s UK Hair Awards.
Locks of Beauty, on Bedford Street, is a finalist in the ‘Hair Extension Specialist of the Year’ category at this year’s awards.
The business is run by Kayleigh Kenyon, from Rhyl, who has nearly ten years’ experience in the industry, and took the name of the company from her passion for hair.
“It hasn’t been all plain sailing - building up a business in the current financial climate has had its trying times,” said Kayleigh.

“But seeing my clients so thrilled with their results makes it all worth it.”
Kayleigh started the business last year, grabbing the opportunity when preparing her own wedding.
The stress of starting a business has certainly paid off, with Kayleigh now having built an excellent reputation which regularly attracts clients from as far as London, Liverpool and Wrexham.
Now, as the business approaches its first anniversary of trading, Kayleigh’s services to the beauty industry have been recognised by the UK Hair Awards 2023 with a nomination.
The closing date for entries for the UK Hair Awards 2023 is June 30.
