RHYL & District RFC have unveiled a memorial bench in honour of former junior coach Jim Griffiths, who died earlier this year.
Jim was a junior coach at the club for nine years from 2013 to 2022, and left an indelible mark on the club in his time there.
At the time of his death in May this year, the club said the father-of-three would ‘never be forgotten’, and chose this special way to show it.
They described Jim as the ‘life and soul’ of Rhyl & District RFC, and that ‘his legacy will live on in our young players, of whom he always put a smile on their faces.’

The bench was unveiled by his widow Clare, and an inscription reads ‘I got a bench but never a cup of tea’.
The club’s current U15s squad, whom Jim had previously coached, were also in attendance.
A club spokesperson said: “In memory of junior coach Jim Griffiths, who sadly passed away earlier this year, a specially commissioned memorial bench was today unveiled by his wife Clare.”
