A CHILDREN’S soft play area and café in Rhyl enjoyed a successful re-opening with a new owner, name and design last weekend.

“Lollie’s Play Cafe”, on Vale Road, replaced “Planet Play”, and welcomed customers for the first time on Saturday, October 14.

On both October 14 and 15, the site were open from 10am until 6pm, as it will usually be on Saturdays and Sundays.

To celebrate its opening weekend, there was:

• Free cake for all customers.

• A special appearance from Marshall and Chase from Paw Patrol on both days.

She said: “I’m very happy with it. We were here until 3.30am on Saturday getting things ready, but it went really well! I had some friends and family who came and helped out, who were great.

“Everything went according to plan, we had plenty of people here, Marshall and Chase from Paw Patrol came; it was great.

“It was packed – as soon as I opened the doors at 10am, people were in. It was crazy. It was heaving on Saturday; Sunday was steadier but still busy.

“We’ve had some really good feedback from parents, who felt really happy to see it open again, and we’ve had some birthday parties booked in.

“Everyone’s been really supportive, and had nothing but nice things to say.”
