A NEW cocktail bar has opened in Prestatyn.

Mojitos is located at the Beach Hut at the Nova.

The front cocktail bar has a rustic feel - the outdoor bar includes a new dining area and a qualified mixologist.

The Terrace at 1891 at Rhyl Pavilion also opened last month.

A new takeaway menu has been devised which includes a range tapas and cocktails.

There is also a new Costa Coffee offer for the Pavilion Theatre with a newly updated mall area and light bites menu.

Talking about opening weekend, Jamie Groves, managing director of Denbighshire Leisure Ltd, said: “We’re thrilled with the response we’ve had, it’s been fantastic and the atmosphere has been electric.

"We can’t thank everyone enough for coming down to support our two new businesses on the coast this weekend.

"The sun was out and it was great to see people relaxing on the Mojitos lounge bean bags with cocktails and sharing tapas in the outdoor dining area at the Terrace in 1891.

“On top of these great new investments, our SC2 Rhyl waterpark also opened with an exciting new ice cream factory, a new Costa Coffee offer and a refurbished outdoor splash area.

"Our customers have supported us over the last year and three lockdowns, so we want to make this a summer to remember for them."

Last week, the Journal reported that repair work to Rhyl Pavilion roof is being carried out.

A spokesperson for Denbighshire Leisure Ltd said: "This is part of the investment in the theatre to go along with refurbishment of all front of house toilets, new accessible changing room, new customer lift, new PA system to improve the sound quality in all areas of the auditorium and the brand new 1891 Terrace."

A new Fish and Chips takeaway on the promenade is also set to open this summer in Rhyl.

‘The Shack’ will offer gourmet fish and chips and will be located behind the Events Arena.
