A BRAND new outdoor eatery has opened at 1891.

The Terrace at 1891 is described as a "premium outdoor dining experience". Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the North Wales Coast.

1891 is a contemporary, first floor restaurant and bar at the Pavilion Theatre in Rhyl.

The Terrace, which opened will also be serving its very own Costa coffee offer and will offer both eat in and take out options.

A spokesperson for Denbighshire Leisure Ltd said: "The brand new 1891 Terrace offers a stunning new venue for pre-show and interval drinks and an exciting new bar and dining experience."

Repair work to the roof Rhyl Pavilion is currently being carried out.

The spokesperson added: "This is part of the investment in the theatre to go along with refurbishment of all front of house toilets, new accessible changing room, new customer lift, new PA system to improve the sound quality in all areas of the auditorium and the brand new 1891 Terrace."

Denbighshire County Council and Denbighshire Leisure Ltd invested more than £400k into the theatre during its closure period.

Work undertaken has been designed to improve the customer experience.

The company has also invested in a new ticketing system, which will deliver a more modern and efficient booking process for customers.

A new gourmet Fish and Chips takeaway on the promenade is also set to open this Summer in Rhyl.

‘The Shack’ will offer restaurant quality gourmet fish and chips, throughout the day and evening, and will be located behind the Events Arena.

Councillor Hugh Evans, Leader of Denbighshire County Council, said: “The council is delighted to see these new offers coming to the Rhyl’s waterfront.”
