OFFICERS and colleagues at North Wales Police paused to honour the victims of the Manchester terror attack.
A minute’s silence was held at the clock in Prestatyn High Street today (Thursday) at 11am and at the forces’s Headquarters in Colwyn Bay. Officers also observed the silence in St Asaph.
Mark Jones, Prestatyn and Rhuddlan Safer Neighbourhood Team sergeant with North Wales Police, said: "There is no doubt that the past few days have been challenging for the county, in particular all those involved in the horrific events in Manchester.
“The police stand together with all communities in the UK. This is a time for us all to unite against those who seek, through violence and extremism, to intimidate or cause fear. It was important for us all to, today, show our solidarity with the county and our local community, who we proudly serve.”
A total of 22 people were killed and many more injured after an explosion in the foyer of the Manchester Arena following the Ariana Grande concert on Monday.
