A NUMBER of senior squad members at RGC are making encouraging progress on the injury front.
The Gogs’ were without a fixture this weekend but did receive some good news regarding key men as they look to push up the Indigo Group Premiership for the remainder of the campaign.
One player that will not turn out for the club again this term is powerful forward Beau Williams, who underwent surgery recently and is not expected back until the start of next season.
There was more encouraging news regarding full-back Dion Jones, who is set to make a return to the fold after an ankle injury suffered against Pontypridd, and former Wales U18 international Dan Owen is also making good progress after suffering a similar knock in their fixture against defending champions Merthyr.
Scrum half Efan Jones’ procedure to repair a damaged eye socket sustained during a training session went well, according to the club, and he is aiming for a mid-March return that would be another significant boost for the run in.
RGC have another weekend off before welcoming a dangerous Carmarthen Quins side to Stadiwm Zip World in Colwyn Bay on Saturday, February 15.
