Welsh cyclists win 26 medals in SD Team CymruVelo Track Cup

The event, held at the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome, saw Welsh athletes secure 12 golds, six silvers, and eight bronzes across various individual events.

Anna Morris excelled in the women’s endurance events, securing gold in the Women’s Elite Omnium, Elimination, and Points Races.

Will Roberts also shone, bagging gold in the Men’s Elite Omnium and a silver in the Points Race.

Rhys Britton grabbed gold in the Men’s Elite Elimination and silver in the Omnium.

In the junior categories, Mabli Phillips won gold in the Women’s Junior Points Race and secured bronze in the Scratch Race.

Rory Gravelle and Gabriella McHugh won the Men’s and Women’s Junior Omnium respectively - and McHugh also took a silver in the Points Race.

Bronwen Howard-Rees clinched victory in the Women’s Junior Sprint, while Ioan Hepburn demonstrated strong sprinting form by winning gold in the Men’s Junior Keirin and bronze in the Sprint.

Rhian Edmunds dominated the Women’s Elite Sprint and Keirin, securing two gold medals, while Lowri Thomas added to the Welsh medal tally with a silver in the Women’s Elite Keirin.
