Three NWRRC members journeyed to the Ruthin Memorial Playing Fields parkrun on Saturday to chase points as part of the club championships, with each member winning their respective age categories.

Carla Green was back to her best as the second female athlete and she won her VW50 age cat in seventh place overall in 21.08, with Kay Hatton also on song again with a solid effort in 16th place, and she too finished first in her VW60 age cat, and the 4th female finisher in 23.01, while master veteran Mike Hayton made it a hat-trick of wins, after he claimed the 1st place in his VM70 age cat with a positive run, finishing 42nd in 28.19.

Meanwhile, Ben and Sarah Hudson went on their travels again last weekend and made their debuts at the Bedford parkrun where Ben finished 32nd in 21.39 and he was 4th in his VM45 age cat, while Sarah also ran well to finish in 44th place overall, as the sixth female athlete, and she was third in her VW45 age cat in 22.17.

NWRRC's Will Williams finished fifth at the Penrhyn Castle parkrun on Saturday, and he won his VM50 age cat in 18.29.

And Kevin Higgins recorded a time of 26.15 at the Wirral 5k at Hoylake on Sunday.
