A MEMBER of the Abergele Harriers running club was the first lady to cross the finish lane at the Caernarfon half-marathon on September 10.
Rachel Shipley finished in 15th position overall at the event, which incorporated the North Wales Championships.
In hot and humid conditions, Rachel was happy with 15th position overall, and finished as first lady by almost five minutes with a PB of 1:26:15.

This also gave her the gold medal in the North Wales Championships.
Next home for the club was Sarah Brooks, who was delighted to take an age group gold in the championships, and 149th overall in 1:56:34.
Anthony Howe, coming back from injury, finished in a creditable 2:27:39 for 317th position.
Meanwhile, Anthony was also the only Harrier in action in this week’s parkrun, as he ran with his son to finish in 54.55 for 212th.
