MELIDEN have further bolstered their squad ahead of the new NWCFA Tier 4 (East) Premier Division campaign with two more arrivals.

The Miners are looking to make their presence felt at a higher standard next season, and they have been extremely busy putting together a competitive squad that has the potential to surprise next time around.

Their latest pair of acquisitions includes Jake Smith, who has played for the club previously and promises to be a useful addition to the set-up.

Another notable signing is that of another former player in Luke Astley, a versatile individual that promises to be a significant part of their plans going forward.

Things will not be easy for the Miners in a highly competitive Tier 4 next term, but their squad is shaping up well so far.

They recently returned to pre-season training after getting the green light from the Football Association of Wales, but there is no clear indicator of when the new campaign will get underway despite the governing body outlining their plans for the JD Cymru Premier last week.

Club officials and hard-working volunteers have also been working incredibly hard to improve their facilities in accordance with new FAW criteria, which has seen their changing rooms and pitch completely transformed in recent months.
