LLANDUDNO Albion’s plans are taking shape as they look to mount a promotion bid next season.

Darren Jones’ men are expected to be among the frontrunners for the Lock Stock Arla Northern League crown next season, which is part of the new Football Association of Wales’ structure designed to improve standards across the country.

Albion have been one of the standout teams in the third tier for a prolonged period, and they were denied a place in the FAW Trophy final after the FAW decided to cancel all cup competitions earlier this month.

The club have been working hard to bolster their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign, with Albion officially confirming the signings of talented young duo Lee Stokes and Louis Williams.

Highly touted prospect Stokes arrives at the club following a successful spell at Llandudno Athletic, who announced they were folding after six seasons last week.

Williams is widely regarded as one of the best shot-stoppers anywhere in the region, and the former Llanberis goalkeeper is set to be a significant influence on Albion’s expected promotion bid.

There was further good news for the club as current senior squad members all agreed to stay on next season.

This includes prolific striker Dave Maddock, skipper Joel Lloyd, gifted playmaker Ricky Jones and talented forward Peter Jones, who are expected to be the driving force behind any success they achieve in the coming months.

Almost all of last season’s squad has agreed to stay on, which is good news for Jones’ squad a they look to challenge the likes of Porthmadog and Denbigh Town for promotion next season.
