CPD Y Rhyl 1879 officially confirmed the signings of Rhuddlan Town duo Jay Whitehouse and Mathew Beach.

The newly formed club continue to build their squad ahead of the inaugural campaign at Tier 4 level next season, and the additions of Whitehouse and Beach are another huge boost to manager Gareth Thomas.

Whitehouse is a prolific striker who has turned out for the old Rhyl FC in the past. He enjoyed a new lease of life for Town last season, finishing as top scorer to help them secure the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division title.

Thomas, said: “I’m looking forward to working with Jay having tried to sign him previously.

“Jay will play up top, he has the ability to cover various positions.”

Another valued contributor to Rhuddlan’s success was playmaking midfielder Beach, who links up with a manager he has worked with previously during their time together at Denbigh Town.

The club also announced that former Lilywhites’ youth team products Jack Parry-Jones and Oliver Staveley will be part of the new set-up, and Thomas also secured the services of experienced goalkeeper Ryan Roberts.

The shot-stopper boasts JD Cymru Premier experience during his time with Prestatyn Town, and the phoenix club also officially confirmed the arrival of defender Miles Todd from Llannefydd.

Todd has played for the likes of Llandyrnog United and Denbigh during a standout career to date, and the feisty competitor is another eye-catching addition to a squad that harbours lofty ambitions next season.

“I’m delighted to get Miles in, He will benefit the young squad with his experience having played Cymru Alliance with both Buckley Town and Denbigh Town,” added Thomas.

Rounding off the recent batch of signings is Elliot Evans, who is an energetic midfielder who was part of the Connah’s Quay Nomads Academy system before making the move to Mold Alexandra.
