KINMEL BAY have bolstered their backroom staff ahead of the new season with the return of Andy Thomas.

The club legend will be working alongside the current management team of Frank Woods and John Hall next season, with the Bay looking to make their presence felt in the new North Wales Cost Football Association (East) Tier 4 Premier Division.

Thomas played a leading role in the club’s rise to prominence alongside Leon Field and Ryan Turner, which resulted in the team winning the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division title in convincing fashion.

They established themselves in the fourth-tier under Thomas before he stepped down, but after some time away he now makes a welcome return to the set-up going forward.

A club spokesman, said: “Andy brings a wealth of experience and great understanding of the game “He is very well known in the area and has been around a while, so he will be a massive addition to the club.

“Welcome back Andy and here's to a cracking season ahead.”

Kinmel Bay will be part of a hugely competitive league next season and can look forward to local derbies against the likes of Rhuddlan Town, Meliden, CPD Y Rhyl 1879 and Prestatyn Sports.
