PRESTATYN Sports will be holding an open day for anyone wishing to join their reserve and development side next season.

The former Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One side are building some impressive plans for the future under Sion Williams and John Hargreaves despite not being in a position to achieve the Tier 3 accreditation from the Football Association of Wales.

This will see the club demoted for the first time in their history, but Sports are aiming to establish better foundations with the return of their reserve and development side for talented youngsters across the region.

The open session will take place on Saturday, July 25 from 12-2pm, which will take place on the Meadows field in Prestatyn.

Those in attendance will get the chance to speak with the Sports’ management team about what is expected and their plans for the future. And this session will also coincide with their formal return to pre-season training.

Sports’ first-team squad will be making their official training return on Tuesday, July 21 as they prepare to make their mark in Tier 4 next term.

This will also take place at the Meadows from 6.30pm, and any players that want to join the set-up are more than welcome to attend.

It proved to be difficult campaign for Sports last season thanks to a number of different issues, and they will also be playing at a venue yet to be confirmed after deciding to leave their base in Gronant to possibly meet Tier 3 criteria in the future.

Any new players that are interested in attending wither the first-team or reserve/development squads next season can contact the club via their Facebook page.
