PRESTATYN Town striker Jordan Davies is being linked with a possible move to Port Vale.

The prolific striker arrived for a second spell at the Motion Finance Stadium last summer and spearheaded a formidable frontline for the Seasiders’ on their way to the JD Cymru North title.

The Journal understands that manager Neil Gibson is not expected to bring back Davies next time around, and the player was recently linked to a possible trial with the Sky Bet League Two side.

Davies played a leading role in Town’s Huws Gray Alliance title-winning campaign in 2017, finishing as the league’s top scorer to further enhance his reputation.

He attracted interest from JD Welsh Premier League heavyweights Connah’s Quay Nomads joining Nantwich Town and Sandbach during his time away for the club.

The forward also agreed to join Rhyl during the 2018/19 campaign, but the move fell through as Davies had already registered for two clubs due to his loan spell at Market Drayton Town.

Davies, who has also attracted interest from Runcorn Linnets, has also earned Welsh futsal international honours in recent seasons.

Should reports come to fruition, it will give Davies a shot at earning a professional contract with the Midlands area side, who sat in eighth position and just one point outside the playoffs before clubs opted to vote against restarting the season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
