LLANSANNAN have paid tribute to their hard-working volunteers as they look set to take their place in tier four next season.

Despite missing out on the chance to attain multiple silverware after the Football Association of Wales opted to curtail the season due to the coronavirus pandemic, a rousing effort from supporters and club officials have seen a complete transformation of their Llan Siro base in recent months.

This bodes well for their chances of meeting the new regulations being implemented by the FAW in time for the 2020/21 season, which would see Tom Lewis’ men promoted following his first season in charge.

A statement on the club’s Facebook page, read: “Unfortunately, during these unprecedented times, the FAW have brought the 2019/20 football season to an end, so it’s third position for us, although we had five games in hand. Also, we had reached three semi-finals (two league cups and the NWCFA Junior Cup).

May we thank you all for your help and support during the season. We now look forward to the new season, a new challenge in a new league, against new teams, and a new looking “Llan Siro” after all the work is completed to bring our ground up to the new FAW Tier 4 standard.”

This represents another significant milestone for the club, who have come a long way in a relatively short space of time in recent years.

Their facilities now look completely different to those that teams travelled to over the years, and the Sannan boss has raised thousands from his marathon challenge from their base to the top of Mount Snowdon.

Although Lewis has yet to take the challenge due to social distancing measures, Lewis has now passed the £2,000 mark as he continues preparations ahead of running the trek when restrictions are lifted.
