A FIVE-STAR showing from Gruffudd Owen helped to make it a weekend to remember for Ruthin Town U-13s in Wrexham and District Youth League action.
Owen netted five goals as Ruthin claimed an 11-2 triumph during their visit to Coedpoeth.
The remaining Town goals were netted by Efan Davies (2), Gwern Doherty (2), Gabriel Hinchcliffe and Gruffudd Price.
There was also an away day success for Ruthin Town U-16s, who won 4-2 at Chirk.
Efforts from Josh High (2), Danw Diss and Dan Dolben did the trick to seal the three points in Ruthin's favour.
Dafydd Edwards was unlucky to finish up on the losing side.
While he managed to grab a hat-trick, Ruthin Town U-12s were edged out 4-3 by hosts Borras Park Rangers.
Elsewhere, Sion Williams was on target for Ruthin Blues U-12s in their 4-1 defeat at the hands of Rhosddu.
Ruthin Town U-14s experienced a 5-1 defeat at Borras Park Albion, with Luke Molmans grabbing the visitors' goal.
In further league action, Ruthin Town U-15s lost out 2-0 at Brymbo.
