CAERNARFON Town FC will play host to the latest semi-professional international fixtures between Wales and England.

The JD Cymru Premier’s base at The Oval has been chosen to stage the clash at C level next year, with the clash scheduled for Tuesday, March 24.

This represents a significant achievement from staff at the club, who have worked tirelessly to improve conditions at their base in recent years.

This resulted in them securing their UEFA Licence earlier this year, and the Cofis’ are the best-supported team in the top-flight drawing crowds of more than 1,000 on a consistent basis.

Mark Jones and Owain Tudur Jones return to manage the Wales C and will relish taking their squad to Caernarfon, which is a football hotbed.

Jones, said: “We’re excited about playing this match at the home of Caernarfon Town.

“We know that not only the Cofis’ passionate fans will come out in support of the Cymru C squad at The Oval but all those in the surrounding area as well, and we can’t wait to bring international football to their doorstep.

“This will be the third match between Cymru and England in as many seasons and I will be attempting to assemble a strong squad to give us the best possible chance in March.”

The second International challenge match between the two sides earlier this year ended 2-2 at the home of SkyBet League Two side Salford City, which saw Kayne McLaggon and Adam Roscrow find the net.

A number of Canaries’ squad members will be looking to secure a place in the squad given their exceptional start to the campaign, which sees them sitting in fourth spot and three points behind Connah’s Quay Nomads.

Ticketing details for the match at The Oval will be released in due course
