LLANDUDNO Albion struck another huge blow in their pursuit of the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One title with a superb 3-2 victory at Denbigh Town.

Darren Jones’ side continued their exceptional start to the campaign with another three points at the expense of a side expected to be challenging them for the crown at the end of the season, but the game did not start well for either side during a first half that provided little in the way of goalmouth activity.

Things came to life after the break and Albion manager to get their noses in front on 48 minutes when Dan Evans found the net, but they were pegged back midway through the half thanks to an exceptional strike from Sion Jones with 67 on the clock.

The away side remained undeterred following the equaliser and regained the initiative on 75 minutes when Evans despatched another chance for his second of the contest, and they doubled their advantage on 87 when prolific forward Peter Jones finished well.

Jake Walker reduced the arrears once again in stoppage time for the hosts, but Albion held firm in the closing stages for another impressive triumph.

Glan Conwy’s eye-catching run of form went on with a hard-fought 1-0 success at Nantlle Vale.

The visitors got off to the best possible start when Conor Davies hit the target within the opening minute, and this proved to be enough for a vital away win for Howard Vaughan’s men.

Llanrwst United’s good form also continued thanks to a 4-1 win at struggling Llandyrnog United.

A brace from talented striker Callum Parry did the majority of the damage, with an own goal and a Sam Jones effort rounding off the scoring for the Rwsters.
