LLYSFAEN produced a sensational attacking display to secure a resounding 14-1 home win over Rhyl All Stars.

The Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Division One title hopefuls were at their ruthless best against the current basement dwellers, with Nathan Russell and Jordan Russell both finding the net within the opening two minutes of the contest.

Russell was in clinical mood throughout the first period and netted twice more to complete his hat-trick, with Jake Reynolds (2), Reece Kearney, Callum Ellis and Henry Taylor all hitting the target during a dominant 45 minutes that gave them an unassailable advantage after the break.

More was to come from the home side after the interval and they picked up where they left off on 47 minutes when Sean Sheridan finished well, but the All Stars kept plugging away despite the deficit and managed to seal a consolation through Lee Dudley with 55 on the clock.

This joy proved to be short lived as Taylor despatched his brace on 59 minutes, and the hosts rubbed salt into the visitors’ wounds late on thanks to a two-goal salvo from James Fallas and a solitary Alec Jones effort.

The North Football Association extended their perfect record with a 7-3 home rout over Llanfairfechan Town Reserves.

Daniel Williams was at the top of his game for the home side on his way to a hat-trick, and Mathew Williams, Paul Jones, Josh Evans and Morgan Jones also found the net for the title favourites.

Derby bragging rights were shared between Denbigh Development and Henllan in a hugely competitive 2-2 stalemate.

Liam Davies and Owen Davies gave Craig Morris’ side a solid cushion at the interval, but the away side raised the tempo during the second period and secured a share of the spoils thanks to goals from Joel Rowlands and Alfie Harrison.
