LLANGEFNI Town have been handed a long away tie in the first round of the Nathaniel MG Cup.

The Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One champions are competing in the competition for the first time after securing promotion to FAW Tier 2 North League in fine fashion, and Chris Roberts’ men will visit Llanfair United, who also recently secured a place in the second tier.

Should Cefni manage to progress to the second round, they will be on the road again in a clash against Airbus Broughton, who are now members of the JD Welsh Premier League thanks to their convincing Huws Gray Alliance title triumph.

Troubled Bangor City are also on the road in the first round at Conwy Borough, with a money-spinning tie at home to all-conquering champions The New Saints awaiting the winners.

Caernarfon Town enter the fray in the second round and have been drawn away at either Berriew or Corwen, with the latter occupying a place in the second tier after a fine campaign under manager Danny Jellicoe.
