COLWYN Bay will start their time back in the Welsh domestic system with a trick away fixture in the Nathaniel MG Cup.

The Seagulls’ formally open their campaign at Gresford Athletic in round one north, which will be held one week prior to the start of the FAW Tier 2 North League season.

Should Craig Hogg’s side manage to advance to the second round, they face the prospect of a trip to JD Welsh Premier League outfit Bala Town, who have a powerhouse squad at their disposal once again this term under Colin Caton.

Conwy Borough are set for a home clash against troubled Bangor City at Y Morfa in the first round, with the future of the Citizens’ second tier status still in doubt after another charge was brought on them by the Football Association of Wales regarding an alleged unregistered player in their March 22 encounter against Prestatyn Town.

The Tangerines will have a hefty reward in the second round in the form of all-conquering champions The New Saints.

Llandudno have been awarded a bye into the second round of the competition, with a visit to either Ruthin Town or Guilsfield awaiting them in round two.
