RHYL FC have announced a host of high-profile friendly fixtures ahead of the FAW Northern Championship campaign.

The Lilywhites’ confirmed a four-date pre-season schedule at the Educate Group stadium throughout July, which is shorter than usual due to their involvement in the Nathaniel MG Cup, which kicks-off on August 3.

They begin their fixtures by welcoming former adversaries Mossley AFC on July 6, with the pair squaring off in the past during the Lilies’ time within the English structure.

The east Manchester-based side will be plying their trade in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League this season and recently acquired the services of talented striker Astley Mullholland, who spent the second half of the previous campaign at Colwyn Bay.

This will be followed by a home tie against Whitchurch Alport on July 13, who are preparing for their second season operating at Hallmark Security Premier Division (North West Counties League) level after a successful promotion bid in 2018.

Eddie Maurice-Jones’ side will also take on 1874 Northwich in their third friendly outing on July 20, who were established in in 2012 by the Northwich Victoria Supporters’ Trust.

They gained promotion to the Premier Division of the Hallmark Security Football League at the end of their first season in 2013-14 and achieved top ten finishes in each of their five seasons at this level.

The talented Rhyl squad will face a stern test of their credentials to conclude their pre-season schedule on Saturday, July 27, with Premier League side Everton sending their U23 squad for a prestigious annual clash (3pm).

The young Toffees securing the Premier League 2 title last term, four points clear of Arsenal and seven ahead of Liverpool.

This was followed by a 1-0 triumph over Newcastle United to secure the Premier League Cup and round off a memorable campaign for a side that first team manager Marco Silva has high hopes for going forward.

Admissions to all games will be £7 for Adults, £5 concessions and £2 for juniors aged 12-18, with free entry for accompanied children under 11.
