RHYL and District Rugby Club players across all age groups were honoured for their contributions throughout the campaign with special awards.
It has been a memorable campaign for the WRU National League Division Two North side, who finished fifth in the standings and also made their long-awaited move to their impressive facility at Ty Newydd Fields.
Impressive forward James Fisher-Jones was one of the squad’s standout performers and took home the Overall Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year thanks to his sterling efforts on a consistent basis.
The progression of versatile prospect Ethan Woodfine during the season saw him presented with the Most Improved Player of the Year, and Second XV star Simon Cheatham scooped their Players’ Player of the Year accolade.
Ryan White was named second team Player of the Year, with Joe Campbell’s development enough to secure the Most Improved Player of the Year.
A number of youth team players were also recognised after a very encouraging season for the talented group that saw them clinch the North Wales Youth Bowl, with former Rhyl player and current Caldy squad member Harrison Crowe on hand to dish out the awards.
James Hall was a very worth recipient of their Player of the Year title, with Huw Roberts and James Peake securing Players’ Player and Most Improved Player of the Year respectively.
