RHYL FC star Mike Pritchard is set to join his brother in the southern hemisphere next season.

The Journal understands that the gifted forward is poised to accept an offer from New Zealand based side Melville United after a standout campaign in the Huws Gray Alliance for Eddie Maurice-Jones’ side.

He will be joining brother and former Colwyn Bay standout Craig at the club should the move be officially confirmed, which would represented a real coup for the club given the reputation both possess within the North Wales area.

Pritchard arrived at the Educate Resource Stadium last summer after a spell at Cefn Druids, where he was part of their Europa League squad prior to joining the Lilywhites.

He instantly became a very influential member of the senior squad and one of the most creative players operating at his position outside of the JD Welsh Premier League.

The striker was previously with Rhyl during the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons and was a regular scorer for the Lilies’ during this spell.

He moved to Prestatyn Town in July 2014 before returning to Druids in the summer of 2016 when they returned to the Welsh Premier League.

During this spell, he made 57 appearances for the Ancient, scoring 11 goals.
