PRESTATYN Town FC’s senior and reserve team squads were rewarded for their excellent contribution throughout the campaign at a special event.

The Seasiders’ held their end of season presentation evening on Friday, May 10 after a rollercoaster Huws Gray Alliance campaign that eventually saw them finish in ninth spot.

Veteran defender Dave Hayes enjoyed a standout season after going back on his decision to retire last summer, and he scooped the Supporters' Player and Players' Player of the Year awards thanks to an exceptional series of displays.

Town boss Neil Gibson, who was instrumental in the club’s turnaround in fortunes, awarded the Manager’s Player of the Year Award to the ultra-consistent Danny Davies, with teenage sensation Dan Roberts’ incredible progression securing the Most Improved Player accolade.

Striker Ian Griffiths, an astute summer signing from Prestatyn Sports, was the Seasiders’ top scorer despite niggling injuries hampering him throughout the season, with Sam Duffy taking home the same distinction for the club’s reserve side.

Eighteen-year-old Jay Norbury swept the board after winning Manager's Reserve Player of the Year, Players' Reserve Player of the Year and Most Improved Reserve Player of the Year thanks to a superb campaign for the promising youngster.
