HOLYHEAD Town dented Pwllheli’s Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division Two title ambitions with a superb 4-1 victory on home soil.
The Harbourmen turned in one of their best performances of the campaign to emerge with three points, and they went ahead with their first meaningful attack that was finished off well by Tristan Hughes.
Pwll’ bounced back as the first half progressed and went into the break all-square thanks to a fine strike from Tomos Jones, but the home side regained the initiative after the interval when Tom Roberts converted an opportunity with 51 gone.
Another exceptional attacking move saw Asa Thomas find the corner to double their advantage on 77 minutes, and Jordan Lees was on hand to divert a delivery into the net with 80 on the clock to round off the scoring.
The result leaves Pwll’ 14 points behind Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs with five games in hand, and they sit 13 adrift of Glan Conwy having played four games less.
