A PRESTATYN Town FC Academy star has set of a fundraising page ahead of a landmark school trip.

Ben Preater will be part of the Rhyl High School contingent that will be taking part in the Eswantini World Challenge in 2020, where he will be working as a volunteer.

The trip follows on from the success of the Morocco Expedition in 2016 and the recent Malaysia Expedition, and an action-packed schedule has been devised during next year’s excursion to Swaziland, which is sure to be an unforgettable experience for those involved.

A Rhyl High School spokesperson, said: “World Challenge organise life changing expeditions around the world for young people.

“As a school, we are very excited about the opportunity this will give students, to do something really unique that will make them stand out from the crowd.”

Ben, who turns out for the Seasiders’ U12 side, is looking to raise £2,840 for the trip, and will be arranging a series of fundraising activities in order to reach his target.

The JustGiving page has already reached £325 thanks to the generosity of donators, and Ben is aiming to use the trip as a way go grow as a person in unfamiliar surroundings.

He said: “This journey organised by Rhyl High School will see us travel many, many miles on the other side of the world where we aim to not only improve our lived and skill-sets but help others do the same too.

“Alongside this Just Giving page I have been and will continue to fundraise by any means possible to ensure this trip is possible.”
