Chairman Paul Higginson, said: “Jim believes passionately in Rhyl and Rhyl FC.

“He brings that passion and a wealth of business expertise to the club. We are delighted to welcome Jim back. He will play an important part in our quest to take the club back to the top of Welsh Football.”

Mr Smith recently retired having spent 30 years in Sales and Marketing for one of the biggest drinks company in the world, Diageo and is looking to use this expertise and knowledge for the benefit of his local club which gave him his first opportunity in football.

Hi priority will be to deliver greater awareness around the club’s community programmes and build a business strategy that maximises all available resources.
