RHUDDLAN Town Reserves and St Asaph City Reserves shared derby day spoils in a thrilling 2-2 draw.

The Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Division One rivals produced a thoroughly entertaining affair that saw the Saints bounce back from a two-goal deficit in the second period to emerge with something from the contest.

The home side opened the encounter on the front foot and went ahead on 33 minutes when Nathan Griffiths hit the target, and they added to their tally just before the break when Josh Evans fount the net with 43 on the clock.

After the interval saw City handed a lifeline on 66 minutes when an unfortunate Town player put the ball into his own net, with Lewis Thomas’ sweet strike on 88 minutes rescuing a point in dramatic fashion.

Newly crowned champions Llanelwy Athletic secured yet another win as a Tommy Montgomery effort gave them a narrow 1-0 triumph over a spirited Denbigh Development, with Llanfairfechan Town Reserves emerging from their trip to Penrhyn Bay Dragons with a 2-1 success.

Goals from Harry Croston and Luke Patterson with side of half-time put the visitors in the ascendancy, and despite a Jake Carey reply on 85 minutes they held on in the closing stages.
