TWO managers from the region picked up awards after steering their sides to the top of the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance standings.

Darren Jones, who is the man in charge at Llandudno Albion, was the recipient of the Queensferry Sports Division One Manager of the Month for January after a stunning run of form from the club that has propelled them back into the promotion race.

They currently enjoy a four-point cushion at the top following their impressive weekend win at Penrhyndeudraeth, although title rivals Llangefni Town, Bodedern Athletic and Llanrug United have a number of games in hand on them due to their cup commitments.

Glan Conwy boss Howard Vaughan has led his side on an exceptional run of consecutive victories in recent weeks, and he is the deserved winner of the Queensferry Sports Division Two Manager of the Month distinction.

The talented young boss has formed a formidable squad that have really come to life of late, and they move to the summit on goal difference with a game in hand last weekend with a win over Penmaenmawr Phoenix as long-time leaders Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs were beaten at home by Gaerwen.
