PENRHYN Bay Dragons produced a ruthless attacking display to secure a thumping 10-0 home win over an under-strength Betwsy-Coed.

The Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Division One side wasted no time in making an impact on proceedings with an opener courtesy of Luke Jones on seven minutes, and the same player was on hand to double their advantage with a well-taken effort with 17 gone.

Another impressive build-up saw Ethan Hill notch a third on the half hour mark, and Jones rounded off an outstanding individual display with his hat-trick after the break on 49 minutes.

This was swiftly followed by a Jack Williams strike after 55 minutes, and yet more efficient play in the final third resulted in Morgan Groom getting his name on the scoresheet.

Williams and Groom took their tally to a brace apiece in the closing stages, and there was still time for the Dragons’ to rub further salt into the visitors’ wounds when Osian Spencer and Solomon Dickens netted within the final eight minutes to ensure they reached double-figures.

Just one game survived the weather in the Premier Division, with title hopefuls Llanfairfechan Town securing a 10-1 home triumph over Old Colwyn to move within 14 points of long-time leaders Llansannan.
