ANOTHER former Prestatyn Town star made a sensational return to the club on deadline day.

Forward Jack Higgins made the move back to the Motion Finance Stadium on Thursday, January 31, and he becomes the latest member of their Huws Gray Alliance title-winning squad to reunite with manager Neil Gibson.

Higgins joins the Seasiders’ from high-flying Flint Town United, where he has found chances limited of late and was made available for transfer by manager Niall McGuinness.

Gibson, said: “I am delighted to welcome Jack back to the club, he's a player I really enjoyed working with in his previous stint here.

“When Jack became available I spoke with him, and although he had a few other offers on the table it all came together really quickly - which is testament to Jack's desire to come back and play a part in rebuilding the club and getting us back to where we want to be.

“Jack is an accomplished footballer who is very clever in his movement and linking the play, he’s also a very cool finisher in front of goal, and - crucially - he knows the standard I expect from my players.”

The Seasiders’ clash at Ruthin Town was postponed due to a frozen pitch on Saturday, meaning Higgins will have to wait until February 15 to take the field for the club when they welcome Denbigh Town (2.30pm)

“I’m delighted to be back playing at Prestatyn - a club very close to my heart. The opportunity to be back working under Gibbo was one I couldn’t turn down,” added Higgins.

“It’s an exciting feeling to be back at Town and I can't wait to pull on the shirt and play in front of the great fans, who we are lucky to have.

“The ambitions and targets set by the club for the next few seasons are clear - I’m confident they will be achieved and I look forward to playing my part in helping the club towards those goals.”
