PRESTATYN Town manager Neil Gibson has been rewarded for his side’s fantastic turnaround with a coveted award.
The Seasiders’ boss has transformed his side’s fortunes despite a difficult set of fixtures in recent weeks, and his exploits have seen him crowned the Huws Gray Alliance Manager of the Month for December.
Gibson, who returned to the Motion Finance Stadium earlier this year after a brief spell away at Connah’s Quay Nomads, and it proved to be a very successful month with three wins and a draw to propel them out of relegation danger.
This included a sensational 3-0 derby triumph to end Rhyl’s nine-game winning run on Boxing Day, and they also secured impressive successes against Guilsfield and Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochant.
They closed out the month with a 3-3 draw with Porthmadog, who sat second in the table at the time of the contest, and there is now plenty of cause for optimism within the Town ranks heading into the second half of the season.
The resurgent side face a stern test of their credentials this Saturday when they travel to runaway second tier leaders Airbus Broughton on Saturday, but their remaining three fixtures of January represent a good chance to pick up more points as they take on Holywell Town, Buckley Town and Holyhead Hotspur.
