RHYL Football Club has secured a sponsorship agreement with one of the primary further education establishments in the region.

The Huws Gray Alliance side confirmed that Coleg Llandrillo in Rhos-on-Sea will support the club through the provision of training kit for the first team with their featuring on the shirts.

Mike Jones, managing director at Rhyl FC, said: “Rhyl FC are aiming high for the future with its desire to progress back to the Welsh Premier League and the support from Coleg Llandrillo will assist the Club.

“It’s great to be in partnership with Coleg Llandrillo who play such a massive role in providing first class training opportunities to people in Rhyl and the surrounding areas”

With the college playing a key role in the delivery of academic and vocational training and education in the town via the Rhyl Sixth Form and Rhyl College provision at Cefndy Road, the extension of support for the team via the training kit was deemed “logical” by a spokesman from the Huws Gray Alliance outfit.

The investment in the facility throughout the area has transformed post-16 education in the town and is a key provider in wider education provision, with a range of further education courses available for learners, ranging from AS and A-levels to apprenticeships.

Lawrence Wood, Principal of Coleg Llandrillo, added: “Coleg Llandrillo is delighted to continue its sponsorship of Rhyl Football Club.

“We are determined to maintain our support of the club, which is such a valuable resource for the local community and an important partner for us as an organisation.”
