ST ASAPH City slipped to 12th in the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One standings after a heavy 6-1 reverse at Bodedern Athletic.

The Saints were on the back foot from the outset and they fell behind on 11 minutes when Shaun Jenkins found the net, but they got themselves back into the game with 44 gone thanks to a shock leveller courtesy of John Terry.

After the break saw the home side completely dominate proceedings to eventually emerge from the game with a comfortable three points, with Casey Boylan in fine form throughout the second period to help himself to a brace.

Jenkins also added to his tally to notch his second of the afternoon to cap off a fine individual performance, with Aden Clarke and James McMinimee also hitting the net on a disappointing day at the office for Daniel Brewerton’s men.

Meliden’s disappointing recent run of Division Two results continued as they were downed 4-0 at home by Aberffraw.

A quick-fire brace from Richard Roberts gave the visitors a comfortable cushion after 30 and 35 minutes, and the same player was on hand to convert another chance with 40 gone to treble their advantage and secure an outstanding ten-minute hat-trick.

This was a blow that the hosts could not recover from, and their misery was confirmed after 70 minutes when Dave Harper slotted home to complete the rout.
