PRESTATYN Town manager Neil Gibson has brought back two familiar faces as he looks to improve the club’s fortunes.

The Seasiders confirmed that Connor Shackleton and Ross Weaver have become the latest to sign back at the Motion Finance Stadium following brief spells away from the Huws Gray Alliance side, and both worked under Gibson during a hugely impressive four-year stint that brought plenty of success.

Shackleton arrives at the club from second tier rivals Conwy Borough, with Weaver leaving Denbigh Town to sign for his former boss.

Gibson, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Shacks and Weavs back to the club. I enjoyed working with them both over the last four years.

“They are exactly the sort of players we are looking for at Prestatyn. Having worked with me previously, they will be big players in carrying out my message and the way I want my team to play.

“Both are Prestatyn lads who live in the area and went to school here. They’re still really young and I know they’ll improve as individuals and raise the team as a whole.

“Ross has a fantastic attitude and can play in a few different positions. He makes important tackles, reads the game well and is comfortable on the ball.

“Connor is an excellent passer of the ball, has very good game understanding and reads the play well. Both lads will enhance our squad and provide healthy competition for places. They were both very keen to come back to Town.”
