RHYL Football Club has been chosen to host three UEFA European Championship Qualifying games this month in relation to the U19 international tournament.

The Lilywhites’ Bell Vue Stadium is widely recognised as one of the best grounds in the Welsh pyramid, and the Welsh national side are hosting the group and have selected the ground as its venue once again.

Group Four of the Qualifying tournament which includes Scotland, Sweden and San Marino, kicks off on Wednesday November 14 when Wales begin their group with the all British encounter with Scotland (5pm).

The games are shared between Rhyl and Huws Gray Alliance rivals Bangor City, with Belle Vue also hosting the games between Scotland and San Marino on Saturday November 17 (kick off 2pm) and Scotland against Sweden (3pm) on Tuesday, November 20.

Belle Vue hosted qualifying games for this tournament two years ago and supporters were able to witness the likes of Trent Alexander Arnold of Liverpool, Tom Davies of Everton and Ryan Sessegnon of Fulham in action when England played two games in at the stadium.

During the same qualifying tournament Wales Under 19’s featured Ethan Ampadu, Matt Smith, Ben Woodburn and Tyler Roberts who have all featured for Ryan Giggs’ main international side in recent matches.

Admission will be free for all games at the site, and the contests are expected to a large audience of football fans from across the North Wales region.
