NORTH Wales footballers will get to stake a claim for international honours thanks to another semi-professional contest between Wales C and England.

The Football Association and Football Association of Wales that England C will host Wales C in a special challenge match at the Peninsula Stadium, home of Salford City FC, on Tuesday, March 19.

Mark Jones and Owain Tudur Jones will again manage the squad, which will be comprised of Welsh eligible players playing in the JD Welsh Premier League.

Ex-Bangor City midfielder Danny Gosset started the contest, with Llandudno’s Toby Jones and Caernarfon Town’s Noah Edwards named on the bench.

Defensive duo Kai Edwards and Mike Pearson, who were playing for Connah’s Quay Nomads but now play for Tudno, also started the contest.
