SPORTS reporter Dean Jones returns with his Huws Gray Alliance weekly awards from another busy weekend of action.

Team of the Week: Porthmadog

Port produced a scintillating display to emerge victorious 6-0 over Denbigh Town, who had come into some really good form of late following a difficult start.

The home side were ruthless in front of goal and made light work of their opponents from the outset, and it looked as if the talented squad found something like the form that got the whole league sitting up and taking notice during the opening stages of the season.

Player of the Week: Adam Eden (Buckley Town)

Town have enjoyed a fantastic start to the campaign despite their relative inexperience at this level, and Eden has played a huge contributing factor in their initial success and was at his brilliant best during their 4-0 home triumph over Holywell Town.

The talented forward netted twice during another accomplished overall display, and if he can continue in the same vein going forward then Buckley’s great start may not be just a flash in the pan.

Manager of the Week: Steve Halliwell (Gresford Athletic)

Halliwell managed to pick his side up off the floor after a disappointing run of recent results, and whatever he said to them before their trip to Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochant had an instant response.

They came out of the traps flying to record a resounding 6-0 win on their travels, and the Athletic boos will be hoping this is the springboard to an extended run of positive results in the coming weeks.

Man in Form: Leo Riley (Airbus Broughton)

The Wingmakers have had a host of standout performers during their scintillating start to the campaign, and Riley has been one of their shining lights for a side that already look like they are going to take some stopping.

Riley was a composed presence on the ball and was always looking to create during their 3-0 victory at Rhyl, and if he manages to hold this level of consistency throughout the season then he will definitely be in with a shout of the Player of the Year accolade.

Team to Watch: Prestatyn Town

It has been not been easy for the Seasiders of late with so much upheaval, but for them to perform so well in difficult circumstances against Penrhyncoch shows just how much this squad is pulling in the same direction despite their lowly league position.

Diego Alvarado was sent off for Town early on and they also lost goalkeeper Ryan Woods through injury, and it still took an 87th minute leveller to deny them three points as they moved off the bottom of the standings.
