LLANDUDNO Amateurs continued their incredible start to life in the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division with a 9-1 rout at Cerrigydrudion.

The Division One champions are aiming for back-to-back promotions and have made their presence felt from the outset, scoring 13 goals in their opening two contests and conceding just one.

They broke the deadlock on 20 minutes when Matty Hughes found the net, and this was swiftly followed by an Aaron Hughes effort with 25 on the clock.

The prolific Steve Kirk helped himself to a brace either side of half-time to put the visitors further in the ascendancy, with Mark Kelly, Michael Laughlin, Mike Chapman, Scott Court and Joe Jones rounding off a sensational attacking display.

Abergele head the early standings thanks to an eye-catching 4-3 home success over a fancied Llandudno Athletic.

Strikes from Chris Davies, James Witherspoon, Reece Kearney and an own goal were enough to give them all three points after a pulsating affair, with Jack Williams and a pair of own goals registering for the away side.

Llansannan maintained their perfect start to the season thanks to a resounding 7-4 home victory over an under-strength Rhuddlan Town.

A treble from Gruff Roberts did the majority of the damage, with Ifan Jones (2), Hari Owen and Leon Gierke also on target.

Two goals apiece from Jordan Bellham and Matty Rees kept the away side in the game for a long period, with Corey Taylor netting a solitary effort for Wayne Edward Hughes’ side.

A late brace from Iwan Jones rescued a point for Llanfairfechan Town as they drew 2-2 at home to Machno United, and a two-goal salvo from Robin Hughes was the highlight of Bro Cernyw’s 4-2 win at Old Colwyn.
