PRESTATYN Town have made another signing ahead of the new Huws Gray Alliance season.

The Seasiders confirmed the arrival of experienced midfielder Alun Roberts to their ranks, with the joint-management team of Leon Field and Ryan Turner sufficiently impressed with the player during friendly matches against Northwich Victoria and City of Liverpool.

Roberts has played extensively at second tier level with Conwy Borough and more recently Llandudno Junction where he starred alongside new teammate and Wales U18 international Dan Roberts.

The defensive minded midfield man has also turned out for Llandudno and Llanrwst United during what has been a standout career to date, and he is another significant boost to the Town engine room following the recent acquisitions of James Hay and new skipper Alex Jones.

Roberts, said: “It’s a great feeling to be joining Prestatyn. Obviously it’s a major period of transition, but I’m here to work hard and help get the club back to where it belongs. The welcome I’ve had has been fantastic.

“This side has got drive, determination, togetherness, a huge work ethic and most importantly - quality littered throughout. With all those things combined, we can definitely compete against the best sides in this league. It’ll be a tough season, of course - but we know what we need to do to win games.”
